Hamstring Articles

Written for PT students, early-career clinicians, and performance coaches pursuing football.

Good Morning! Today is finally the day for the college football national championship. Unlucky for me, I will be studying and on a zoom meeting prepping for the NPTE. But definitely will have the game on in the background.

Miami has some key players back from injury including defensive linemen like Ahmad Moten Sr. and edge rusher Akheem Mesidor, though starting TE Elija Lofton is out, and CB Damari Brown's status is day-to-day, with CB O.J. Frederique Jr. likely good to go, balancing the roster as they head into the big game.

*The injuries discussed in this newsletter are for general educational purposes only. I am not affiliated with the athlete’s medical team, and the information shared does not reflect any insider or team medical details. Specifics about the injury are often unavailable, which can significantly influence the estimated timeline for return to play.

One more week until my exam! Excited for this grind to be over. But in the mean time, I’ve included some article on hamstring rehabilitation that I followed in Atlanta as well as with my athletes here at Florida State

*Due to my professional association with the Atlanta Falcons during preseason and my current role with the Florida State Seminoles, I will not provide educational content or commentary on any injuries within these programs during or after the season.
